Job summary

Cayuga Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Prep & Recovery Unit at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. You will monitor patients’ pre and post-anesthesia status, observe vital signs, and manage potential anesthesia-related side effects with a patient‑centered approach.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; active RN license in New York; BLS/ACLS/PALS during introductory period; 6–12 months critical care or 1 year recovery experience

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to effectively prioritize both expected and unanticipated needs
• Evaluates effectiveness of care giving, follows through and documents accurately
• Performs and documents accurate assessments for assigned patients
• Recognizes priorities within patient care and acts accordingly
• Ability to problem solve and communicate accordingly
