Centralus Health is seeking a Perioperative Care Assistant to provide routine support in the Surgical Services Department at Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY. Under RN supervision, you will transport patients, assist with positioning, and maintain a clean, safe operating room environment.

Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent; the role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and on-call responsibilities during weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Ability to lift over 25lbs and assist with patient transfers up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsabilités

• Assist with patient transport and specimen delivery, ensuring timely and safe handling.
• Support surgical teams by aiding in patient positioning, movement, and preparation.
• Maintain operating room cleanliness by turnover and termination procedures, including trash and linen removal.
• Manage equipment logistics, including retrieval, setup, cleaning, and proper storage.
• Ensure the availability of essential surgical supplies and personal protective equipment in designated areas.
• Required weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities.
