Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners seeks an experienced Director of Nursing for a direct hire opportunity in Glendale, AZ. This leadership role oversees clinical, operational, and financial management of a nursing department, providing 24/7 leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and regulatory compliance.

The role requires RN licensure in Arizona, 5+ years nursing management in acute care, and strong budgeting/leadership skills. Relocation assistance is available as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing management experience in an acute care hospital.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Current RN license in the State of Arizona.
• Experience managing department budgets, staffing, productivity, and operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour leadership and operational oversight for an assigned nursing department.
• Establish, implement, and enforce departmental policies, procedures, standards, and objectives.
• Direct daily workflow while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Lead departmental strategic planning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
• Approve department timekeeping, payroll edits, staffing plans, and supply orders.
