Job summary

Dignity Health - Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC), part of CommonSpirit Health, is seeking a Surgical Services Registered Nurse (RN) in Prescott Valley, AZ. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to positive patient outcomes.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, 9 months RN experience, a valid AZ or compact license, ACLS and BLS, and ECG competency. A Bachelor’s degree and CVOR exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree of Nursing is required.
• Nine (9) months of general or skilled RN experience.
• Active Arizona RN license or compact license.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to demonstrate basic EKG skills within six months.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing systematic assessment focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status.
• Formulates goal-directed care plans based on nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
• Implements care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner.
• Establishes priorities for patient care based on needs and available resources.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by the health care team.

• Performs assessment/data collection in an on-going systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural,

• spiritual and cognitive status; also nutrition, pain, patient/family education, family involvement and patient advocacy.

• Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.

• Implements care in a thorough, skillful and consistent manner.

• Establishes priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.

• Evaluates effectiveness of care given by health care team members.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate degree of Nursing

• Nine (9) months of general or skilled Registered Nurse experience

• Valid compact state or Arizona RN license

• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider

• Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months of position

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• One (1) year circulating or combination of scrub and circulating experience

• CVOR experience preferred for the Cardiac Surgery Service Team
