Job summary

Yavapai Regional Medical Center is seeking an Employee Health Nurse to safeguard staff health and maintain a thriving workplace through expert assessment and proactive health education. The role covers pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury management, case management, and wellness education.

Qualified candidates will have an AZ RN license, at least two years of clinical nursing experience, and BLS CPR.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience required.
  • Registered Nurse license in AZ required.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-employment physical examinations for new hires.
  • Order TB testing for employees and coordinate tests (and chest X-ray if positive).
  • Administer Employee FIT Respirator Testing per OSHA guidelines.
  • Support TB screening program for Volunteers and coordinate follow-up testing.
  • Order TB testing for volunteers and manage follow-up chest X-ray as needed.
  • Submit completed test results to volunteer coordinator promptly.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Employee Health Nurse, you will serve as a critical clinician, safeguarding the well-being of our dedicated staff and fostering a healthy, thriving workplace community through expert assessment and intervention. Every day you will deliver comprehensive occupational health services, including complex pre-employment screenings, immunizations, acute injury assessment and management, case management, and proactive health education for our employees. To be successful in this role you must combine advanced clinical expertise with exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills, a compassionate approach, and a proactive commitment to promoting the health and safety of our valued employees, ultimately contributing to a healthier and stronger organization.

  • Pre-Employment Physical Examinations Performs pre-employment health assessments for all new hires.
  • Orders TB testing on all employees, interprets results of tests and if necessary (positive), orders chest x-ray and coordinates testing program for organization.
  • Administers Employee FIT Respirator Testing for all employees, per OSHA guidelines.
  • Volunteer TB Screening Program for Volunteers
  • Orders TB testing for all YRMC volunteers and does follow up chest x-rays as needed.
  • Timely submission of completed test results to volunteer coordinator.

We are offering $10k relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements
Required
  • Associates degree

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, providing excellent customer service
