Qualifications

• Must have Associate degree of Nursing and valid RN license in Arizona.
• 9+ months RN experience in general or skilled care.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Proven EKG competency or training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing systematic assessments focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and other statuses.
• Formulate and implement goal-directed plans based on nursing diagnoses and outcomes.
• Deliver thorough, skillful, and consistent care.
• Set priorities for patient care based on needs and resources.
• Evaluate care effectiveness with the health care team.
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural,
• spiritual and cognitive status; also nutrition, pain, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.
• Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
• Implements care in a thorough, skillful, and consistent manner.
• Establishes priorities for patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care given by health care team members.

Job Requirements

• Associate degree of Nursing
• Nine (9) months of general or skilled Registered Nurse experience
• Valid compact state or Arizona RN license
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider
• Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing the EKG test or completing basic EKG class/modules within six (6) months of position

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• One (1) year circulating or combination of scrub and circulating experience
• CVOR experience preferred for the Cardiac Surgery Service Team
