Job summary

Upcoresolutions seeks a Manager, Surgical Services to provide 24-hour leadership and operational oversight of the Operating Room and Central Sterile/Reprocessing. You will partner with physicians, anesthesia, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to drive safe, efficient perioperative care.

You will develop staff schedules, monitor labor and productivity, supervise perioperative staff, manage supplies and budgets, analyze metrics, lead quality improvement, ensure accreditation

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or multi-state compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of OR/Surgical Services experience in an acute care hospital.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practice and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour operational oversight of the Operating Room and Central Sterile Services.
• Lead daily OR operations, including scheduling, staffing, workflow, and case progression.
• Ensure efficient use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Develop staff schedules to meet staffing and productivity goals.
• Monitor labor utilization and implement efficiency strategies.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate perioperative staff.
• Promote patient safety, teamwork, accountability, and high-quality care.
• Oversee supply management, inventory, and cost containment.
• Analyze departmental metrics and report on surgical services performance.
• Lead quality improvement and support evidence-based practice.
• Ensure accreditation, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and risk management.
• Collaborate with physicians/leadership to improve patient flow and performance.
