Job summary

Rochester Regional Health seeks a Surgical Services/ Float RN at Gouverneur Hospital in Gouverneur, NY. This part-time role offers 16 scheduled hours per week with 8-hour days from 7:00 to 15:30 in Ambulatory Surgery.

The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates perioperative care for patients across pediatrics to geriatrics, and may circulate and scrub cases as needed. Must hold a NY State RN license and ACLS certification; maintain competencies and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
ACLS certified; NYS RN license required.
BSN or higher and national nursing certification preferred.
Strong communication, computer and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessment to identify needs.
Develop and implement an individualized plan of care.
Collaborate with other disciplines.
Maintain required competencies and training.
Protect patient privacy and advocate for patient rights.
Cross-train to circulate and scrub cases; assist in PACU and outpatient testing.
