Job summary

The Christ College in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Unit Assistant to provide fundamental care and support in the operating room environment. You will manage daily assignments, transport patients and supplies, and assist with routine surgical prep under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: None.

Responsibilities

• Make Unit Assistant daily assignments, including hallway and in-house transport.
• Utilize Epic to monitor Unit Assistant workflow.
• Monitor lunches and breaks to ensure adequate coverage.
• Create monthly schedules and manage vacations and PTO requests.
• Assist with surgical prep and sterile gown handling as directed by RN.
• Transport specimens and assist with patient positioning.
• Keep ORs clean and stocked with supplies and equipment.
• Assist with communication between OR team and support departments.
