Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Assembles and opens supplies and equipment and prepares the OR suite for procedures.
• Ensures timely room turnover including cleansing of the surgical site and dressing applications.
• Assists with circulating duties, positions patients, assists with anesthesia, and transports patients as needed.
• Responds to emergency calls within 20 minutes of notification.
• Maintains instrument sets and physician preference cards; reports damaged instruments.

Education

Vocational or other technical school, certification, licensure, training or apprenticeship in a healthcare related field required beyond high school.
