Job summary

Citizens Health in Colby, KS is seeking a full-time surgical scrub tech to join the Surgery Department. The role reports to the Surgery Manager and operates 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities include preparing ORs, maintaining sterile technique, passing instruments, and taking rotating on-call shifts. Requires certification in surgical technology and strong teamwork and reliability; salary is dependent upon experience.

Qualifications

• Certification from an accredited school of surgical technology, preferred.
• High school graduate or GED accepted when on-the-job training is utilized.
• Good knowledge of sterile technique and principles of general surgery.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies needed for day’s surgeries and prepare operating rooms as assigned.
• Create and maintain sterile fields; scrub and assist with surgical procedures by passing instruments and equipment; take counts according to policy.
• Take surgery call on a rotating basis; must be available as assigned.
• Assist in cleaning instruments/equipment and stocking supplies.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
