Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal surgical technologist training preferred.
• Prior scrub or surgical OR experience advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and instrumentation.

• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with instruments and equipment before procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during operations.
• Maintain sterile environment per standards and protocols.
• Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and report shortages.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure safe patient care.
• Assist in cleaning and sterilization of instruments and spaces.
• Keep records of procedures and instruments used.
• Stay updated on new techniques through ongoing training.
