Job summary

EyeCare Partners in Columbus, OH is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to support pre-surgery and financial communications for patients undergoing procedures. This role coordinates scheduling with facilities and supports the Ophthalmology department.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience with insurance and financial counseling preferred, strong Excel/Office skills, and the flexibility to work across multiple locations with a positive, patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in financial counseling preferred.
• Experience working with insurance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery and pre-surgery education, coordinating with facilities.
• Coordinate pre-op appointments with patient and caregiver.
• Check patient charts for insurance benefits, prepare cost summaries and counsel patients financially.
• Counsel patients on Physician Fee and Eye Surgery Center.
• Follow up on and collect surgery payments.
• Other duties as assigned.
