Job summary

The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics LLC (CAO) is one of the nation’s largest orthopaedics practices, with over 60 locations. The Surgical Coordinator handles scheduling of surgical operations, coordinates intake, verifies insurance, and communicates with patients, providers, and departments while ensuring compliance with CAO guidelines.

Responsibilities include pre/post-op coordination, documentation in EMR, and maintaining equipment and surgical inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ clerical/administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and anatomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming calls for the surgery department.
• Assist patients with intake, sign-in, and insurance verification.
• Coordinate pre/post-op scheduling and maintain surgical inventory.
