Qualifications

• 1 year of surgery scheduling and clerical experience with knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, cancel, and reschedule inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures.
• Verify patient names, procedures, surgeons, and times with registration and pre-admission testing.
• Post surgical charges accurately and timely.
• Communicate changes to OR staff and anesthesia prior to next day schedule.
• Maintain inventory of office and medical supplies and prepare monthly reports.
