Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments and ancillary services for surgical procedures.
• Schedules patient surgical procedures based on referrals and verifies physician privilege status before scheduling.
• Gathers and documents insurance eligibility data and enters data into the electronic medical record.
• Coordinates pre-surgery clearance requirements prior to procedures.
• Reviews work queues to contact patients for appointment confirmations and follow-ups.
• Contacts patients to reschedule missed or cancelled appointments and documents reasons for no-shows.
