Qualifications

• One-year medical office or hospital setting experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with OR and GI Endoscopy Unit to schedule cases, negotiating date and time, and avoiding resource conflicts.
• Gathers complete patient and procedure information and schedules procedures and testing.
• Prepares and distributes schedules; works with physicians and office staff to maximize utilization of time.
• Obtains pre-certification and authorizations from insurance carriers; completes referrals and pre-certifications as required.
• Performs front desk duties: answering calls, scheduling appointments, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records.
• Oversees filing, chart preparation, and record management; plans daily schedule to maximize physician productivity.
