Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group in Waterbury is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to join the Cardiology team and support surgical procedures from scheduling to pre- and postoperative visits under the provider’s direction.
The Scheduler coordinates the surgeons' OR and ambulatory schedules, ensures accurate demographic, diagnosis, procedure and insurance information in EPIC, and handles pre-authorization with payers and follow-up appointments.

The Surgical Scheduler schedules surgical procedures, including, pre and postoperative visits under the direction of the provider. Responsible for maintaining proper provider schedules and coordinating surgeries in accordance with provider templates. Coordinates the surgeons' OR schedule and aligns it with the ambulatory practice schedule to ensure there are no overlaps. Processes also include obtaining accurate procedure, demographic and insurance information from the patient.
