Job summary

FMOL Health seeks a Case Tech to assist with surgical room preparation, patient transport, and maintaining sterile equipment during procedures. This role requires following guidelines under supervision and providing perioperative support to the RN team.

Responsibilities include inspecting the OR for cleanliness, obtaining equipment, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting with specimens and preps. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the OR for cleanliness, completeness and proper equipment arrangement.
• Obtain and return additional equipment and supplies as directed by RN.
• Maintain competence in creating and maintaining a sterile field.
• Locate trauma, emergency or specialty care supplies and carts.
• Assist in postmortem patient care and handling expired patients.
• Deliver specimens to appropriate area per hospital procedure.
• Perform surgical preps according to physician order and procedure.
• Know patient positioning on the OR bed and adhere to safety standards.
• Develop priorities and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Function across the entire perioperative area and support staff.
