Job summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a Systems Analyst to develop algorithms enabling safe, reliable operation of robotic-assisted surgical systems. You will design, test, and implement motion-control and tele-operation algorithms for next-generation platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine architecture and performance.

The role involves Design Controls, system testing, and documenting innovative contributions while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a technical field with experience in control systems, servo control, or robotics.
Expert knowledge of robotics and motion-control concepts, including modeling and system identification.
Experience with real-time control algorithms and safety-critical software.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement motion-control and tele-operation algorithms for next-generation robotic systems.
Contribute to architectural definitions of robotic control systems with real-time and event-driven algorithms.
Lead design, implementation, and testing of safety-critical and fault-detection algorithms.
Coordinate electro-mechanical and software integration across hardware and software teams.
Document innovations and support IP generation.
Iterate system performance from prototype to production with quarterly and annual planning.
