Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and cultural sensitivity.
• Effective communication and delegation within a clinical team.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and patient education.
• Proficiency in health information documentation and use of EHRs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment, and recovery.
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to coordinate care.
• Monitor and improve quality and safety of patient care.
• Participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in creating discharge plans and follow-up arrangements.
