Job summary

The Cozad Community Hospital seeks a compassionate Surgery Registered Nurse to provide expert nursing care for patients, surgeons, anesthetists, and staff in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You will perform pre-op assessments, assist in procedures, manage recovery room care, and help coordinate patient care with the medical team. Nebraska licensure, CPR/ACLS/PALS within year, and EHR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited College of Nursing.
• One year of full time experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Electronic Health Records experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
• Performs comprehensive admission assessments for med-surgical, obstetrical, newborn, pediatric, ER, and outpatients.
• Pre-Op admission and recovery of patients as assigned; assists with procedures.
• Collaborates with Medical Staff and team to coordinate plan of care and patient safety.
• Implements and provides safe, therapeutic care during surgical interventions and maintains documentation.
