Job summary

Cozad Community Health System is seeking a Surgery Registered Nurse for preoperative and postoperative patient care in a hospital setting. The role includes assisting with procedures, coordinating with the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety and documentation in a patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates have an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Nebraska RN licensure, with preferred experience in a surgical setting and EHR systems. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited College of Nursing.
• One year of full time experience in a surgical setting preferred.
• Electronic Health Records experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification as RN in Nebraska and CPR/ACLS/PALS requirements listed in job description.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
• Performs admission assessments and preoperative/postoperative care.
• Coordinates with Surgery Department Head for scheduling and equipment readiness.
• Assists surgeon with procedures and supports patient transfer.
• Maintains documentation and HIPAA compliant care.
