Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a new graduate or experienced RN to join our Surgical Unit. The team delivers clinical care in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing safety, compassion, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

The unit has 32 beds and handles both surgical and nonsurgical conditions. Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing care: assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Current Oklahoma RN license or active Multistate license; BLS training required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess health care needs for individuals across age groups.
• Perform nursing diagnoses and determine expected outcomes with patients and families.
• Coordinate and implement care with professional judgment and evidence-based practices.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
• Assess discharge needs and plan for smooth transitions.
• Uphold professional practice standards.
