Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, is hiring an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our Surgery department. This full-time role supports high-volume surgical services, including trauma and pediatric care, with day shifts, a 40-hour work week, and on-call requirements.

You will provide direct patient care, participate in perioperative planning, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• Experience in an acute care OR setting preferred.
• Sign-on and on-call requirements described in posting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and implement perioperative plans in collaboration with the team.
• Deliver direct patient care in the operating room during procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff for safe patient flow.
• Document care and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Participate in unit leadership and ongoing education initiatives.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
