Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical I (Post-op/Stepdown) team to care for patients recovering from emergency general surgeries, traumatic injuries, and complex postoperative procedures in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
Current North Carolina RN license or Multi-State Compact License required.
One year of relevant RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from emergency general and trauma surgeries, as well as step-down level patients.
Care for patients with external fixators, complex wounds, and multi-system injuries.
Deliver expert nursing care in a high-acuity post-operative setting that goes beyond traditional Medical-Surgical nursing.
Utilize advanced clinical judgment and critical thinking to support positive patient outcomes.
