Job summary

Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Surgical I – Post-op/Stepdown team. You will provide specialized post-operative care for orthopedic surgeries and trauma patients, manage care for external fixators and multi-system injuries, and apply unit-specific expertise in post-operative nursing.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with NC license; one year of experience preferred; benefits begin day one and opportunities for career advancement are

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Current North Carolina nursing license or Multi-State/Compact required.
One-year relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized post-operative care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and trauma.
Manage care of patients with external fixators and multi-system injuries.
Apply unit-specific expertise in post-operative care distinct from general Medical‑Surgical nursing.
Utilize advanced knowledge in post-operative patient management.
