Job summary

Carle Health is hiring for NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants. The 43-bed unit cares for acute and chronic digestive surgical patients, including bariatric cases, with a 1:4-6 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:3 for advanced care).

The team collaborates with residents and OMFS, providing extensive education and support. This RN role requires IL RN license and BLS within 30 days, with opportunities for professional growth in a Magnet-designated health system

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with IL license or eligible to practice in Illinois and BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs unit duties as per scope of service and documents nursing care accurately.
• Develops plan of care from admission assessment and updates as patient status changes.
• Implements interventions to ensure patient and staff safety and collaborates with surgical teams.
