Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to collaborate with surgeons in the operating room, assist with procedures, and ensure patient safety. This on-site position supports multiple service lines and requires a strong focus on sterile technique and patient care.

Requirements include a BSN, completion of an accredited RNFA program, and 3–5 years RNFA experience, with CA RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/CNOR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals.
• Provide patient care and support during procedures.

• Monitor bleeding control and tissue handling as needed.
• Coordinate cases and train other RNFAs.
• Adhere to C-I-CARE standards in all interactions.
