Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky, is hiring a Registered Nurse First Assistant for the Surgery unit. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, based in Edgewood, KY.

The RNFA will assist with surgical procedures under the surgeon's supervision and provide perioperative nursing care to meet patient needs. The ideal candidate will have RN licensure, CNOR certification, RNFA training, and BCLS, plus at least two years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state where practice is performed; multi-state Compact license if eligible.
• Successful completion of RNFA program and internship meeting AORN RNFA standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures under surgeon supervision.
• Provide evidence-based perioperative nursing care.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
