Job summary

TSAOG Orthopaedics & Spine is seeking an RN Circulator to join our surgical team. The RN Circulator will support the surgical team, maintain a sterile environment, and help ensure safety and efficiency of procedures.

Strong clinical skills, communication, and patient-care commitment are essential. Responsibilities include preparing the OR, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists, monitoring patient safety, handling instruments, documenting procedures, and assisting with staff training.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in a surgical setting as an RN Circulator is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring they are sterile and readily available.
• Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
