Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
• Three (3) years of relevant lab experience; OR Master’s Degree and one (1) year of relevant lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Research Specialists in complex research experiments involving vascular biology and translation.
• Trains and supervises students at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, medical) in basic science research.
• Aids the Principal Investigator in experimental design, proposal development, and manuscript preparation.
• Performs complex research experiments in vascular biology and translational nanotherapeutic development independently.
• Utilizes advanced Molecular and Cellular Biology techniques.
• Performs pre-clinical animal models including anesthesia and survival procedures.
• Manages laboratory purchasing accounts and serves as Purchasing Agent for consumables and equipment.
• Maintains service contracts and schedules/manages service of laboratory equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
