Job summary

CalvertHealth in Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the surgical setting. The RN may act as circulator or scrub nurse depending on case needs.

The role requires a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing, with an unexpired Maryland RN license or compact state license. 6 months to 1 year of direct experience is preferred, with strong computer skills and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Position requires completion of a Diploma Nursing Program or an Associate Degree in Nursing (AA) or higher.
• Unexpired state licensure from Maryland Board of Nursing or compact state board of nursing.
• RN Certification in specialty is preferred.
• 6 months - 1 year of directly related experience.
• Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies and mandatory learning as per GA-057 policy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement nursing care to meet patients' needs per department policies.
• Provide nursing care to surgical patients; function as circulator or scrub nurse.
• Maintain unit-specific and hospital competencies and mandatory trainings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; promote quality patient safety.
• Demonstrate professionalism and support a positive work environment.
