Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a Surgical RN to join its team. This role provides patient care on a surgical floor for adult patients, utilizing the nursing process and coordinating with other departments.

You will maintain patient rights and confidentiality and contribute to Mercy’s standards of care. Requires RN licensure and a nursing degree; BLS is required or completed within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate‘s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Must have a current RN license for the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association or course completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
