Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• CTP (Certified Transplant Preservationist) preferred.
• Good knowledge of human anatomy/function and basic medical terminology.
• Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and ability to work in a sterile operating room.
• Must be able to travel within the Greater New York service area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organ recovery and preservation procedures with hospital staff.
• Participate in organ donor recoveries requiring travel to donor hospitals.
• Provide equipment and supplies for organ recovery and preservation.
• Perform surgical techniques during organ recovery.
• Maintain organ preservation lab and restock supplies as needed.
• Perform machine pulsatile organ preservation techniques as directed.
