Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray, fluoroscopy, and related imaging equipment in the surgical setting. You will prepare and position patients, collaborate with radiologists, and ensure safety through严格 radiation control and meticulous documentation.

The role requires 0–3 years of experience, BLS certification, and an active ARRT RT(R) or board eligibility with credential within 6 months, plus an ISDH license or student permit.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of relevant radiology experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA is required.
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and adjust positions as needed.
  • Active ARRT Radiography (RT[R]) credential or board-eligible with credential within 6 months.
  • Current ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist or ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Operates imaging equipment including x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy in surgery.
  • Prepares patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians for accurate imaging.
  • Follows radiation safety protocols and documents patient history.
  • Maintains EMR with exam details and imaging results.
  • Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
