Job summary

IU Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform medical imaging procedures and ensure patient safety throughout exams. You will explain the study to patients, position them for optimal results, and collaborate closely with radiologists and referring physicians.

As part of the team, you will operate x-ray, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray equipment and assist with minimally invasive procedures while maintaining EMR documentation and strict radiation safety standards.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions as needed.
• Active RT(R) radiography license or board-eligible radiologic technologist.
• Current Indiana ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist or ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy.
• Explains exam to patients and positions them correctly for accurate images.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians.
• Follows radiation safety protocols and documents patient history in EMR.
• Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed and monitors patient safety.
