Job summary

Ascension in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to support the Surgery department on the day shift. You will prepare and position patients for imaging, manage exposure factors, and ensure high-quality images are sent to PACS.

The role requires licensure/certification in radiologic technology or related fields, a high school diploma or equivalent with experience, and a commitment to safety and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire with recognized credential.
• CCi Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Radiologic Technologist, or ARDMS Sonography credentials.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or an associate/technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
• Administer contrast media and medications per scope of practice and regs.
• Observe during procedures and report abnormal activity.
• Follow radiation safety procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure.
• Submit high-quality images and patient data to PACS with correct markers.
• Ensure equipment is functioning; report malfunctions and lock/tag as needed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly department and manage exam rooms and storage areas.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
