Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the 16300 Surgical Progressive Care Unit (163PCU) in Missouri. The unit handles high-acuity post-op patients across abdominal transplant, HPB, ENT, plastics/orthopedics, and trauma services.

New graduates and experienced RNs are welcome, with a sign-on bonus up to $15,000. The role focuses on advanced critical nursing skills, teamwork, and professional growth within a Magnet-designated hospital

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate's degree required for RN licensure.
• RN license required to practice in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment and educates on illness management and home care needs.
• Ensures patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance and supports ongoing professional development.
• Develops and documents care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and communicates the plan across the continuum of care.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual and cultural needs and aligns care accordingly.
• Maintains safety by adhering to policy; this is a safety-sensitive position.
