Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s nursing staff includes full-time academic faculty and community physicians, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other professionals. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for the Minimally Invasive PCU/IMU.

Qualifications

• RN with Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• Current RN license is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Promotes patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
