Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant - Surgery to the NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health.

The PA will provide clinical outpatient care, assist in the Operating Room with a robotic system, and develop patient management plans with the attending physician. Qualified candidates will hold NYS PA registration, NCCPA certification, and a degree from an accredited PA program.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program.
• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in an outpatient setting including patient examination, recommendations for and/or interpretation of appropriate routine diagnostic tests.
• Inform the supervising physician of all changes in the patient's condition and pertinent diagnostic results.
• Surgical assist in the Operating Room with a surgical robot - Perform inpatient rounds, collect data and write pertinent progress notes on charts
• Counsel patients regarding physical and mental health
• Develop patient management plans in accordance with established protocols in conjunction with the attending physician.

Wages and Benefits include:

• Annual Base Salary: $131,127* - $174,836* based on 40-hour work week.
• The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239** - $192,319**, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
