Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care and follow up to ensure screening and preparation of patients.
• Perform daily patient rounds and write orders for medications, labs, and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret laboratory and test results and confer with the care team to ensure quality patient care.
• Note discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals on patient charts and inform patients of post-discharge care instructions.
