Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• ARC-PA accredited PA program completed.
• Current New York State PA license.
• NCCPA certification current.
• BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care and follow up.
• Screening and preparation of patients.
• Perform daily patient rounds.
• Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret laboratory and test results.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, nursing staff, and other care providers.
• Note discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals on patient charts at discharge.
• Inform patients of post-discharge care instructions.
• Performs related duties as required.
