Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• ARC-PA accredited PA program graduate required.
• Current NYS Physician Assistant license required.
• Current NCCPA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and communicate the plan of care and follow up for complete screening and preparation of patients.
• Perform daily patient rounds.
• Write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
• Interpret laboratory and test results.
• Consult with attending physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Note discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals at discharge.
• Inform patients about post-discharge care instructions.
