Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree in physical science, completion of an accredited PA/SA program, and ACLS/BLS–HCP certifications with at least two years in cardio/thoracic surgery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical science required.
• Completion of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program required.
• ACLS and BLS/HCP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of surgeon or anesthesiologist, performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks.
• Acts as patient advocate and liaises between patients and physicians.
• Participates in performance improvement and teamwork initiatives.
