Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a Physician Assistant to support cardiothoracic surgical teams. The PA will perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks under supervision, gather data for treatment plans, and advocate for patients while coordinating with physicians. The role emphasizes teamwork and quality care within AtlantiCare’s care system.

Requires a PA/Surgical PA program, NCCPA and NJ licensure, ACLS, and BLS/HCP. Position notes a partial hybrid structure with mixed virtual and in-person duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical science from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program.
• Certification by NCCPA and NJ State Board of Education and Licensure.
• ACLS and BLS/HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks under surgeon/anesthesiologist supervision.
• Assist in gathering data for implementation of treatment plans.
• Advocate for patients and liaison between patients and physicians.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and teamwork.
