Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Surgical Pathology Technologist to support pathologists and residents with gross examination, specimen receipt, and preparation for microscopic evaluation. Qualifications

• A.S. degree in biological/life sciences/medical laboratory technology or related field.
• Computer experience with keyboard proficiency.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, pathologists, residents, and supervisors regarding specimen problems.
• Participate in laboratory occurrence management program.
• Perform and/or assist with gross examination and dissection of designated specimens for microscopic evaluation.
