Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a skilled supervisor for the Surgical Pathology-BUMCT area in Tucson. The role leads department operations to meet organizational objectives and ensures quality, timely pathology services in a high-demand setting.

The position requires an associate degree plus 6 years of clinical lab experience and 2 years of supervisory experience, with preferred Bachelor's and Lean Six Sigma exposure.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards (Joint Commission, CAP, CMS, OSHA, etc).
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to support pathology services.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops, directs and manages assigned department(s) and/or location(s) to meet organizational objectives.
• Directs, organizes and controls pathology processes to provide high quality, cost-effective services.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
