Qualifications

• Degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) with 1 year of histopathology experience.
• Ability to orient, embed, and cut tissue with microtome/cryostat.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Orients and embeds tissue in paraffin per standardized methods.
• Freezes, orients, embeds, and cuts fresh tissue.
• Uses microtome/cryostat to section tissue to exacting measures.
• Files cassettes and slides.
• Performs routine and special stains.
• Maintains equipment and documents QC measures.
• Ensures compliance with safety and infection control standards.
