Job summary

PathGroup in Plano, TX is seeking an AP/CP pathologist to join a high-volume practice serving two premier hospitals in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The role offers a mix of surgical and cytopathology cases with a collaborative team and digital workflow.

The position emphasizes strong general diagnostic skills, potential subspecialty interests, and a one-in-four call rotation. Remote flexibility is available occasionally, with on-site collaboration valued.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• AP/CP board certification or eligibility is required.
• Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong general surgical and cytopathology diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret surgical pathology and cytopathology cases across a broad spectrum of disease types.
• Perform and review FNAs, frozen sections, and body fluid cytologies as needed.
• Participate in laboratory management, QA/QC, and hospital/clinical liaison activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to continuous quality and service improvement initiatives.
